Terms & Conditions
These are our own general Terms & Conditions, which covers general payment and booking terms.
By using the LondonChoice.com website, you agree to accept our terms and conditions stated below.
Prices & Payment
The prices of London apartments will be quoted in UK Pounds, US Dollars and Euros and will include all taxes and services except telephone usage. Payments must be made in UK Pounds Sterling or in US Dollars. If paying in US Dollars, the amount charged will be coverted from UK Pounds Sterling based on the current rate of exchange at time of transaction.
Rates are based on nightly and/or seven-night stay, however the apartments can be pro-rated for shorter and longer stays. Prices may be subject to currency fluctuation, however, when accommodation has been paid in full, there will be no increase.
All bookings for London apartments must be paid in full no later than one month prior to arrival. If booking is made less than 30 days prior to arrival, we require full payment when booking.
Payments can be made via wire / swift transfer, cheque (UK Pounds Sterling), or by credit card.
Credit cards may be subject to a 2.5% processing fee, depending on card.
Cheque payments must be made payable to 'Choice Serviced Apartments Worldwide' and drawn in Pounds Sterling.
If payment is arranged via a Bank Transfer, the customer will be responsible for any additional bank fees incurred. Please request our bank details through our reservations team.
Deposits & Final Payment
On making a booking for an apartment in London, guests are required to pay a deposit (which is part of the total rent) to secure the apartment. The deposit may vary depending on the actual reservation. The balance is due and payable no later than one month prior to arrival and will be automatically debited if a credit card is provided for payment.
As the policies vary from Apartment Providers, guests are provided with the applicable Terms & Conditions of the Apartment Provider.
An additional security deposit may be required for some apartments, for protection against unforeseen damage to the property and/or its contents, and to cover telephone charges, as well as any extra charges. Security Deposits, if applicable, will be taken by the Apartment Provider at time of guest arrival, usually with a credit card imprint.
Check-In / Check-Out Times
Check-in time is usually 2:00pm with check-out time around 11:00am. Should guests require an early or immediate check-in on arrival, it is recommended that reservations are made from the previous night, or to store luggage at building until apartments are ready.
Key Collection
Key collection varies from apartment to apartment in London and not all properties offer a 24 Hour Check-In facility.
We require guest arrival and departure details, in order to advise the Apartment Provider of when to expect guests.
Booking Confirmations
A Booking Confirmation is automatically emailed or faxed upon receipt of the deposit and credit card details. In most cases a final Booking Confirmation is sent after the balance payment is taken.
The booking cannot be guaranteed until payment of deposit has been received.
If the client did not receive a Booking Confirmation within 24 hours after the booking has been made, it will be the responsibility of the client to contact London Choice®.
Cancellations / Amendments
If you want to cancel your booking for London accommodation, you must do so in writing or by email. Cancellations made directly with apartments will not be effective.
We cannot guarantee that any requests for amendments or changes in dates will be satisfied. However, if you wish to make any alteration to your booking (including the transfer of your booking to another person) after it has been accepted by us, we will try to accommodate your requirements, subject to availability and payment by you of an alteration fee, in the amount of £15.00 per booking.
Any alteration made within 29 days of arrival will be treated as a cancellation and you will have to pay the charges set out below.
In the event of cancellation after your booking has been accepted by us, then we impose the following charges:
Outside 30 days prior to arrival: one nights equivalent rental may be forfeited. If however, the cancellation is received by us within 29 days to the date of arrival, no refund will be made, unless the apartment is re-let. We do advise, therefore, that you take travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
No refund will be made for the unused portion of your stay or for non-arrival which is classified as a NO SHOW.
In the very unlikely event that the apartment owner cannot provide the booked accommodation, the client understands that the apartment owner's responsibility is to find an alternative of at least a similar standard, and provide transportation as appropriate to this alternative apartment. London Choice® will do their best to assist with alternative accommodation for the client, subject to availability.
London Choice® takes every precaution to ensure apartments are professionally managed so that any such occurrence is extremely rare. London Choice® shall have no liability in respect of any other costs, losses or damages existing out of or in connection with relocation of accommodation since such relocation is outside London Choice®'s control.
Airport transfers must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to scheduled pick-up to avoid any penalties.
Group Bookings
For groups of 10 or more people, the following additional terms apply.
Group cancellation charges are as follows (unless otherwise specified on your booking confirmation):
More than 30 days before check-in: 25% fee
30 days or less before check-in: 100% fee
A full list of guest names and room / apartment sharing must be received 30 days before check-in.
Small modifications to the guest list and number of rooms / apartments required will only be accepted when made up to 14 days before check-in, in accordance with current availability. Substantive changes will incur full amendment and cancellation charges.
Number of Guests
The number of persons using the Apartment must not exceed the maximum number of Adults & Children stated on the Booking Form. London Choice® or the apartment provider is entitled to ask the Guest to leave if this condition is broken and this will be treated as a cancellation by the Guest and Cancellation Penalties will apply together with retention of any payment made for the time the Apartment has been occupied by the Guest.
Liability / Indemnity
London Choice® acts as an agent and not as a principal for the apartments. We cannot be held liable or accept any responsibility for any dissatisfaction that the guest may have with the apartments, although we will do our best to assist or relocate the guests, if necessary.
